The property has been owned by the Reventlow family for generations, and there has previously been another main building on the site.
1863: The current main building was completed in 1863, and was originally the estate manager's residence for Pederstrup Estate. What today houses the Reventlow Museum.
1947: Horslunde Realskole moves into the buildings and establishes a boarding school for boys. The boarding school was closed in 1979 and the buildings were sold to Efterskole.
1980 to 2017: There was an Efterskole on the site. During that period, many additions and renovations have taken place. Among other things, a new student wing (Svalehuset), a kitchen building (Mejsehuset) with a large dining room and 10 double rooms on the 1st floor. In addition, three dwellings (parcel houses) have been built that are used as teacher housing on the site.
2019: We took over the property in May, and upon our first visit to the site, we had no doubt that we could get something good out of the place, something we would also like to share with others. Therefore, the idea of creating a Bed and Breakfast in the lovely surroundings here on site arose very quickly.
